Overview:
Mimili Maku Tours offers an authentic and unique Indigenous tourism experience to small groups of visitor who are seeking an opportunity to understand and gain knowledge about the landscape of the Everard Ranges and of the ancient indigenous culture of the Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara people. All tours are met at the boundary of Mimili Community and there have the opportunity to listen to a brief talk, which provides and introduction to Mimili, its people and their culture and the stunning picturesque landscape around Mimili.
Mimili Maku Tours is managed and operated by local anangu people (mainly from the local community), Mimili and traditional owner homelands with the assistance of sympathetic non-indigenous Australians. It seeks to be fully self–sustaining.
Mimili Maku Arts is closely associated with Mimili Maku Tours, and provides opportunities for visitors to view and purchase local anangu paintings, wood carvings, woven baskets and knitted clothing. It is affiliated with support by Ku Arts, Ananguku Arts & Culture Aboriginal Corporation, which represents and advocates for local anangu arts and crafts.

Permits to Enter & Remain on APY Lands is Mandatory for all visitors: it is an offence to enter the APY Lands without a valid Permit.
